A little history on EnVizon and it’s founders, Heidi Paley and Mike Dietterick

Heidi got into the electronics industry in early 2000. Starting in retail sales with Ultimate Electronics. She moved from retail into installation where they loved her for being so petite and compact, perfect for crawling through attics. She was hooked.

Over the next several years, she moved up the management chain from installation manager, sales manager,  General Manager and finally to Regional Sales Manager in Retail. While traveling and working, Heidi began to notice the cool work being done by small custom integration companies.  At this point, she was able to really get her hands into the details of designing and programming and then implementing smart home projects and audio visual systems.

Mike came from a little different direction.  Mike spent several years as a communication electrician in the US Navy.  He dealt with all communications,  CCTV, Phones, Alarm Systems, Fiber Optics.

When he left the Navy, he got an electronics and engineering degree and then spent 9 years working in a high tech engineering company, Intel.  He saw the new technologies coming out and recognized the Market need for a sophisticated integration of them.

In 2007, Mike and Heidi founded EnVizon together.

In April 2007, Heidi Paley took a risk. At a time when the economy was beginning to show signs of slowing down and some owners were scrambling to find a way to save their businesses, Paley decided it was the perfect time for her to step out and launch her own company. Today, Paley is CEO of EnVizon, a home automation company.

“I saw a lot of opportunity” in the economic slowdown, Paley says. “Not just to get into business, but to be the very best at what we do in this industry.”
EnVizon provides design installation and services for home electronics and sells a variety of related products, mostly from Control4.
